Born in Willamette Valley in Oregon.

Attended Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon; 
BA in Art.

Military service in Vietnam with U.S. Navy.

Studied painting and drawing at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, Amsterdam, Netherlands.  Group exhibition at Museum Fodor, Amsterdam, and exhibited  at Galerie De Drie Haringen, Enkhuizen, Netherlands.

Attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania; studied painting, drawing and special education in the arts.

Attended Pennsylvania State University; studied painting, drawing, esthetics and art history; symposia: Conservation and Museology with Dr. Eric Hulmer,Chief Curator, Butler Institute of Art.  Instructor, visual arts.  Museum technician, Palmer Museum of Art; MFA in Painting.

Painted in New York City and participated in solo and group shows with Spring Street Gallery, Soho.  Group exhibition at Grey Gallery, New York University.

Participated in solo and group shows at Gallery Doshi, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.  Group exhibition at William Penn Museum in Harrisburg.

Visual art instructor, Alan Short Center, Stockton, California; exhibited at the White House Gallery in Stockton.

Traveled in Oregon and Washington; painted “Window” series of paintings.

Volunteer in U.S. Peace Corps in Tunisia.  Art instructor, special education; in-service presentations on “Art and the Exceptional Child;” supervised construction of permanent outdoor installation and mural.

Exhibition Specialist at Meridian International Center, Washington, DC; worked with foreign embassies to exhibit artists from around the world in the U.S.

Solo and group shows at the Artists’ Museum, Washington, DC, and the Nouveau Museum in Georgetown.

Visual art instructor, The Delaplaine Visual Arts Center, Frederick, Maryland.

Acrylic painting instructor, Montgomery County Recreation Department, Silver Spring, Maryland
